Louane Emera (25) created a surprise in January 2020, by confirming to be pregnant with her first child during an official outing. Two months later, in March, she gave birth to her daughter Esme. Very discreet about her private life in order to protect her daughter, the singer who became known through the show The voice, confided in Gala. And the least we can say is that she is a modern mom.
“I am a wolf mom. I protect my daughter enormously from all media coverage. I am not going to force something so intense on her, and, moreover, that she did not choose. I already know that she will have a special life: at school, it won’t be easy to be my daughter, for example. Suddenly, I don’t want to add more“, says the one who gained notoriety very young in 2013.
If she protects her daughter enormously, Louane Emera is nonetheless a very relaxed mother and in tune with the times. That is to say who takes care to let his daughter express herself. She explains : “I am a cool mom. If she has decided to put paste or paint on her head, she does. It’s material. I managed just to limit the damage. You see: I let her explore, experiment. I don’t force her toys or her dress on her. In fact, she does what she wants. She is small, we get along well! My daughter is 20 months old, she walks, starts to talk and also to choose her clothes.“
Louane Emera also makes the choice not to follow certain diktats of society and is one of those who opt for non-gendered education: “My daughter has toys that can be babies, cars … she chooses what she likes and what she is. And that suits me very well. She can wear jogging and the next day a little Peter Pan collar dress. Like me, today I am very feminine, whereas yesterday, I was in streetwear.“
Faced with those who criticize her on her way of being, of doing or her body, she explains that this only affects her for a few minutes because her strength lies in her family. “I have an amazing guy, an amazing daughter, I’m not going to let bitter people ruin this.” And she is right.
