After signing a shock issue of the program “Complément d’Enquête” on the Patrick Poivre d’Arvor affair, the journalist Romain Verley decided to write a complete book called “PPDA, the Black Prince”, which is coming out this February 8, 2023. A book in which the journalist returns to the sordid revelations which weigh on the famous presenter of the JT of TF1 and reveals certain testimonies of alleged victims who have filed a complaint for rape and sexual assault.
And while the journalist was simply trying to swing again on what is now called “The PPDA affair”, some victims are currently trying to stop the release of the book for “invasion of privacy”. A complainant indeed accuses the author of the book of having made public the detailed account of her rape by relying directly on the extracts of her hearing by the police in March 2021 … and without having asked her for her agreement.
She and other alleged victims therefore wrote an email to Romain Verley relayed by Le Parisien: “You allowed yourself to tell our stories of the most intimate humiliations that some of us had chosen to reserve for justice. did not respect our will, adding a new layer of violence to violence. It does not add anything to the demonstration. It is hurtful” can we read.
Matthieu Delormeau stands up for Claire Chazal
This Tuesday, February 7, 2023, this surprising legal battle was mentioned on the set of “Touche pas à mon poste” and it was confirmed that the book will be released tomorrow, Wednesday 8, despite the attempts of the victims. Justice would indeed have considered that these revelations are of public interest.
It was then the name of Claire Chazal who was pronounced, as a reminder, the famous presenter of the JT of TF1 had an affair with Patrick Poivre d’Arvor: “Claire Chazal categorically refused to let this be known, because it must be remembered , PPDA was married and she did not want the child she had with him to be known…”.
Matthieu Delormeau then came out of silence to defend his friend: “I just specify that Claire Chazal had no idea at all, at all of what PPDA was doing. That’s what she said and I really believe her” .
