The fourth pick of the National Hockey League (NHL) draft, Shane Wright, is expected to report to Team Canada junior training camp.
TSN reporter Darren Dreger reports the 18-year-old forward is expected to reunite with the team Thursday in Moncton, where the tournament will take place.
This news comes the day after Wright scored his first NHL career goal against the Montreal Canadiens.
The right-hander has a tumultuous professional debut. Dissatisfied with his work, the Seattle Kraken left one of the most anticipated players of recent years in the stands for several meetings. The Ontarian even made a detour to the American League where he collected four points in five games.
Last year, before the World Junior Hockey Championship was canceled, he posted one point in two games.
