But this announcement has unleashed the anger of OM supporters, the historic enemy of the Parisian club. The Pernod-Ricard group markets pastis, a yellow drink emblematic of the city of Marseille, one of whose factories is located in the Phocaean city. Enough to put the The Marseillais are in a state of dismay, unforgiving of the yellow and blue brand.

On X, the hashtag #boycottPernodRicard went viral in a few hours. “It starts with Casanis […] and for the big nights Henri Bardouin”threatens an Internet user.

Some have even been inspired to create montages. Here, a fake advertisement for Pastis, with the title “Ici c’est Paris”, a slogan used by Parisian supporters. Pastis 51 is even replaced by Pastis 75, the department number of Paris. A publication that has since been deleted.

Although Pernod-Ricard has become PSG’s sponsor, it has already been supplying the club with hospitality for over ten years, as the group points out in its press release.
