“Shame on you”, says Sandrine Rousseau to Eric Ciotti
The president of LR was in front of LR headquarters on Tuesday to comment on his electoral agreement with the far right. The elected official then came to meet him to reproach him for his decision.

The boss of LR was commenting on his decision to enter into an electoral agreement with the RN, Tuesday June 11, in front of an audience of journalists gathered in front of the Republican headquarters in Paris. It was then that the elected environmentalist approached him to question him about this electoral rally. “Shame on you Mr. Ciotti, shame on you, you do not deserve the name that is written on your facade”Sandrine Rousseau was indignant, referring to the logo of the Les Républicains party, before putting her hand on his arm. “Your diatribe honors me, madam”Eric Ciotti simply replied.
By accepting the hand extended by the far right, the president of LR created a surprise within his party itself. Several executives, including the president of the Senate, Gérard Larcher, and the leader of LR deputies, Olivier Marleix, immediately demanded his resignation. “I get my mandate from the activists, and only the activists could take it away from me. I say it very clearly and I will not give in to this kind of decision or comment”insisted the deputy for Alpes-Maritimes. “I am president and I remain president of the Republicans.”
