Sexual misconduct in the military | Victims have until November 24 to seek compensation

(Montreal) Victims of sexual misconduct in the military or in the Ministry of Defense have until November 24 to complete their compensation claim form, as part of the class action that had been brought.

Compensation ranges from $ 5,000 to $ 155,000 depending on the severity of the sexual misconduct that was suffered, Mr.e Jean-Daniel Quessy, lawyer on file.

Sexual misconduct includes a variety of actions and behaviors: inappropriate jokes, indecent words, touching, harassment, sexual assault.

To date, 12,632 people across Canada have made a claim.

There is little time left to do so, until November 24. The persons concerned must complete the online form.
