(New York) Longtime WWE impresario Vince McMahon has reportedly paid more than $12 million over the past 16 years to silence allegations of sexual misconduct and infidelity, according to the wall street journal.

This sum is considerably larger than what was known in the public sphere.
Also according to the American media, four women – all formerly linked to WWE – have signed contracts with the 76-year-old man who prohibits them from talking about their relationship with him.
McMahon stepped down as Chairman and CEO of WWE in mid-June pending investigation of allegations of misconduct.
At the time of the announcement, the wall street journal said at the time that McMahon paid $3 million to a former paralegal who said she experienced sexual harassment in her workplace.
McMahon, however, continues to oversee the creative side of WWE during the investigation.
WWE named Vince’s daughter, Stephanie McMahon, as interim president and CEO for the duration of the investigation.
The company said it will not comment until the investigation is complete.
