Sexual Assault Accusations | Dillon Dube, Michael McLeod Signed by KHL Clubs

Two of the five former Team Canada junior players allegedly involved in an alleged sexual assault have signed contracts with Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) teams, the league says.

Dillon Dube is listed as being hired by Dinamo Minsk until May 31, 2025, while Astana Barys announced that Michael McLeod has signed a one-year contract with the team.

Dube, McLeod, Carter Hart, Cal Foote and Alex Formenton were charged earlier this year in connection with an alleged sexual assault at a London, Ont., hotel in 2018.

The case is due back in court on August 13, possibly to set a trial date.

McLeod, of Mississauga, played with the New Jersey Devils last season, recording 10 goals and 19 points in 45 games.

Dube, from Golden, B.C., played for the Calgary Flames last season, scoring three goals and seven points in 43 games.

Both were granted leave in January, then their contracts expired at the end of the season.
