After revelations in Germany and France, a Portuguese commission worked for more than a year to expose the sexual abuse of minors within the Catholic Church. Nearly 5,000 victims were counted according to testimonies. These cases span more than 70 years, from 1950 to today, and are mostly prescribed.
In Italy, Berlusconi’s attack on Zelensky is making waves. “If I had been Prime Minister, I would never have spoken to Zelensky. […] I judge very, very, very negatively the behavior of this gentleman“, declared the one whose party, Forza Italia, is part of the ruling coalition. In response, the head of government, Giorgia Meloni, said immediately wished to repeat its support for Ukraine.

Social Democrats defeated in Berlin

The Social Democratic Party of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has just lost the local elections in Berlin, after twenty years of reign. The CDU conservatives triumph. The defeat is bitter for Olaf Scholz and his training, neck and neck with the Greens. But the outgoing mayor still believes in it and hopes to save her seat thanks to the game of coalition agreements.
