Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Greater Montreal area, as weather conditions are conducive to the formation of dangerous thunderstorms.
In its advisory, Environment and Climate Change Canada indicates that thunderstorms can produce very strong gusts, large hail and heavy rain, starting this Tuesday afternoon.
The body recalls that strong gusts can damage buildings, uproot trees and sweep away vehicles. Water activities should be avoided.
The advisory is in effect until the night of May 22.
