This was reported by the club from the Southwest of the United States on Monday.
The injury comes at a terrible time, as Chychrun has regained his offensive bearings and one week before the NHL trade deadline. The 23-year-old athlete is considered one of the most attractive players for this pivotal stage of the current season.
Chychrun left Saturday’s game against the Boston Bruins after taking a body check from defenseman Derek Forbort.
Limited to just two goals in his first 41 games of the campaign, the Florida native has hit the mark five times in his most recent six outings. In 47 games so far this season, Chychrun has amassed 21 points.
