A serious traffic accident in Paris in the 13th arrondissement left seven seriously injured and three slightly injured, the police headquarters told franceinfo. The accident occurred at the corner of rue de Tolbiac and avenue de Choisy.
On Twitter, the police headquarters specified that the accident occurred after the loss of control of a vehicle. The mayor of the 13th arrondissement indicates that it is a “taxi with passengers on board”. This is what a police source confirmed to franceinfo.

Also according to this police source, this taxi had a mechanical problem and overturned two pedestrians, before hitting a container of the Paris town hall which is used to recover the glass to be recycled. This container was thrown into the air and exploded.
The taxi then continued on its mad dash to collide with a traffic light which was also thrown into the air with the force of the shock. The taxi driver finished his journey in a van in circulation which was in the middle of a crossroads at the level of the avenue de Tolbiac. About fifty firefighters are mobilized to take care of the injured.
