In addition to the partial closure of the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine bridge-tunnel, several major obstacles will complicate car travel this weekend.
Posted at 7:44 p.m.
As of Friday at 10 p.m., Highway 132 will be closed to eastbound traffic between the Samuel-De Champlain bridge exit and the next entrance, in Brossard. The detour will be via boulevard Marie-Victorin. Highway 132 will also be closed westbound, between the Simard Boulevard exit and the entrance at Léon-Gravel Park. Obstructions will cause multiple closures by default.
Only one lane will be available on the Victoria Bridge towards Montreal, between 5 a.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Monday. Remember that the work in progress is causing the closure of one lane until the end of November.
In the west of the island, Highway 40 East will be closed to traffic between the Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants exit and the next entrance.
The Saint-Pierre interchange will not be spared from the obstacles either. The ramp that connects Route 138 East (coming from the Honoré-Mercier Bridge) to Highway 20 West will be completely closed.
Finally, in Saint-Bruno, motorists must plan for the closure of the left turn lane of Route 116 East at Boulevard Seigneurial.
