Several protesters against health measures gathered in Montreal

Several demonstrators took part in a rally against sanitary measures which took place on Saturday afternoon in Old Montreal.

Organized by the organization Québec Pro Choix, the demonstration began around 1 p.m. on Place Jacques-Cartier in order to denounce the recent tightening of health measures in the province and the administration of the booster dose of the COVID vaccine. -19.

The police are present on the scene to supervise the demonstration, confirmed the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Véronique Comtois.

Among the demonstrators is the leader of the People’s Party of Canada, Maxime Bernier, used to participating in this type of rally since the start of the pandemic.

“There are lots of people who are here, who are fighting for their freedom, who are ready to say no to Legault and to any despot who are violating our rights and freedoms, and we will fight until moment when we are going to win it because we know that freedom will always triumph in the end, ”said Bernier in a video shared on his Twitter account.

Recall that the Quebec Pro Choix group was also behind the organization of the demonstration against the curfew which took place on January 1 in front of the Montreal offices of Prime Minister François Legault.
