Three people were injured, one of them seriously, on Saturday evening, July 7, after a scooter battery exploded in a club-restaurant “le Pachamama” located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, France Bleu Paris learned from the police and firefighters.
The explosion of this battery, stored on the fourth floor of the establishment, caused the collapse of a section of wall, the debris of which brought down the chandelier in the main room, where the participants of the evening were gathered. The three injured were on the ground floor.
The most seriously injured victim had a head trauma, several deep wounds to the face and was transported, as an emergency, to the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital. His life is not in danger. The other two, slightly injured, were treated on site by the firefighters. In total, 40 firefighters were mobilized.
The 150 customers of the establishment were evacuated, France Bleu Paris learned from a police source. The club-restaurant closed its doors at 2:50 a.m. on the night of Saturday to Sunday, after the first observations.
