Several people were injured on Saturday (November 6) on an ICE high-speed train in Bavaria, Germany, in a knife attack in which the alleged perpetrator, a man, was arrested, local police said. The popular daily Bild at least three people injured, two of them seriously.
Neumarkt Police in der Oberpfalz, in Bavaria, assured that“there is no longer any danger”. The high-speed ICE train was brought to a standstill at Seubersdorf station. None of the injured is in danger of death, a spokeswoman for the local police told AFP. A large police force was deployed on the spot.
Germany has faced in recent years a double terrorist, jihadist and far-right threat. Several attacks have been committed since 2015. On June 25, three people were killed and five others injured in a knife attack by a Somali in Würzburg, in southern Germany.
