Several decrees implementing the immigration law, criticized by the left and human rights activists, were published on Tuesday July 16 in the Official Journal, including one concerning the refusal or withdrawal of a residence permit in the event of non-compliance with the “principles of the Republic”.

The publication of these decrees comes a few hours before the first post-legislative Council of Ministers and almost six months after the promulgation of this controversial law, partially rejected by the Constitutional Council.

THE JDD had posted online on Friday July 5, two days before the second round of the legislative elections, an article stating that the government was preparing “to suspend the immigration law”an allegation denied by the presidential camp. The Renaissance party has also filed a complaint against the Sunday newspaper (JDD), after the broadcast of this false information, franceinfo learned on Saturday, confirming information from Mediapart.
