Shooting at a university building in Prague “several deaths” and dozens of injured, Thursday, December 21, announced the police of the Czech Republic. “The building is currently evacuated, and there are several deaths and dozens of injuries at the scene”she detailed on X (ex-Twitter)adding that “the shooter has been eliminated”.
The killing took place on a building located on Jan Palach Square, a square in downtown Prague, close to the tourist heart of the Czech capital. According to local media, the gunman opened fire in the building of the Faculty of Arts at Charles University, the country’s main university. The teachers and students present were ordered to lock themselves in while the police intervened.
The private television channel Nova TV reported an explosion and a shooter on the roof of the building, before the death of the attacker was announced.
Czech Interior Minister Vit Rakusan told public television that the presence of“no other shooter” had not been “confirmed” and called on the population to follow the instructions of the police.“The building is currently evacuated and there are several deaths and dozens of injuries at the scene”said the police on the social network
