Leclerc is recalling several batches of Bouchot mussels sold in its stores throughout France this Wednesday, France Bleu reported on Wednesday, September 4.

This recall is due to an error in the packaging date and the use-by date (UBD) which have been shifted by one month, specifies the Rappel Conso website. Health authorities are alerting consumers to the “microbiological risk” that there is to consume the product after the real DLC.

All Leclerc stores in France are affected by this recall. The affected batches are “Bouchot mussels from Mont-Saint-Michel Bay”, “Bouchot Chausey mussels”, “Bouchot STG mussels from Saint-Brieuc” and “Bouchot mussels Traditional Specialty Guaranteed”, marketed by the brands Les Viviers d’Armor, Atelier Poissonnerie and Nos régions ont du talent.
