The weather will be stormy again, Sunday June 9, over part of France. Météo-France has placed seven departments on orange alert.rain-flood” or “storms”. In detail, Ardèche, Gard, Vaucluse, Drôme and Isère are on orange “thunderstorms” and “rain-flood” alert. Haute-Loire is only concerned by an orange “thunderstorms” watch. Locally violent thunderstorms are expected Sunday afternoon and will be “accompanied by very heavy precipitation”according to the forecaster’s bulletin published at 6 a.m.
In the South-West, the unstable rainfall episode observed since Saturday continues. The orange thunderstorm alert was lifted on Sunday at 6 a.m. in the Landes, which however remains on orange rain-flood alert. “The precipitation continues into Sunday morning in the Landes”Or “locally an additional 10 to 20mm is expected in the impacted areas overnight” from Saturday to Sunday, writes Météo-France. Gers, Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Hautes-Pyrénées have returned to yellow.
