There is a storm in the air. Seven departments in the northwest have been placed on storm orange vigilance, Météo France announced on Saturday June 10. Seine-Maritime, Eure, Calvados, Manche, Orne, Mayenne and Sarthe are affected by the alert.

The weather service predicts a “stormy situation not exceptional, but requiring particular vigilance due to the expected high rainfall intensities”. Météo France states on its website that “in the afternoon, thunderstorms will develop again over a large part of the country” and “only areas close to the Atlantic arc will be spared”.

“Very heavy rainfall is expected, potentially 30 to 50 mm in a few hours due to the inmobile nature of the storm cells. There is a risk of small hail and gusts of between 60 and 70 km / h”advances again Météo France.
