Seven arrests for Temporary Worker Assistance Program fraud

Seven people were arrested Thursday for fraudulently obtaining amounts granted by the Temporary Assistance for Workers Program (PATT) offered by the provincial government during the pandemic.


The suspects are six men, aged 24 to 31, and a woman, aged 25. They were arrested and released and will appear on April 11, 2024 at the Montreal courthouse.

Police officers from the Financial Crime Investigation Division against the State of the Economic Crime Investigation Service of the Sûreté du Québec arrested individuals in Boisbriand, LaSalle, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Pointe-aux -Trembles and Sainte-Thérèse.

The operation mobilized more than 40 people.
