Sète emergencies again forced to limit access to emergencies due to lack of staff

The hospitals in the Thau Basin are again forced to limit access to the emergency room at night from Saturday November 5 to Monday November 7 due to the lack of emergency doctors.

From 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 a.m., it will not be possible to go to the emergency room without going through center 15 this Saturday and until Tuesday morning.

Emergencies, on the other hand, are open to the general public during the day. This is the fifteenth weekend, since August, in degraded operation. Undoubtedly the last since the hospitals of the Bassin de Thau have managed to recruit emergency doctors until the end of 2022.

Currently, emergencies operate with 15 emergency physicians instead of the usual 25.

In optimal service, three doctors are present in the emergency room. This restriction allows them to be only two, one of which is dedicated to the SMUR.
