Series of stories, series inspired by stories.

A one-of-a-kind Festival

Lovers of literary works and fans of series? Marseille Series Stories Festival
is an event not to be missed.

Born on the initiative of the Department, Marseille Series Stories is the first French festival of series adapted from literary works. For its 3rd edition, you will (re)discover the stories and authors behind literary works and meet the teams who adapted them for the small and big screen.
An eclectic program for all audiences, free and by reservation.

An appointment for professionals, children and the general public

  • For professionals, the festival creates a space for dialogue between audiovisual production and literary publishing, conducive to the emergence of new projects. Thus, round tables, professional meetings and Publishers’ Market in collaboration with the SCELF (Civil Society of French Language Publishers) are offered to the entire profession.
  • As part of its educational mission (departmental scheme for artistic education and public reading), the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône also intends to participate in the (re)orientation of young people towards literature.
On the strength of this desire, Marseille Series Stories organizes: workshops for the adaptation of literary works reserved for children, and educational actions aimed at college students: screenings, debates, educational kits for teachers and a writing competition.
  • The general public will be able to attend the screenings in different places to be found here

The competition

The series selected in competition will compete for 4 prizes:

  • Prize for the best series adapted from a literary work
  • Interpretation Prize
  • Staging Award
  • Audience award
