Argentina FC Barcelona international striker Sergio “Kun” Agüero underwent a “cardiological examination” after suffering a slight discomfort during the match against Alavés on Saturday October 30 at Camp Nou for the 12th day of La Liga (1-1 ), announced Barça on his social networks. “Kun Agüero suffered from chest discomfort and was transferred to hospital for cardiology examination“, said the Catalan club on Twitter.

In the 40th minute of the match, Agüero lay down on the ground, touching his chest and neck, visibly suffering from discomfort. The referee called the rescuers but Agüero walked out of the field, replaced by Philippe Coutinho (41st). He was then evacuated to a Barcelona hospital in an ambulance, following the protocol in place.
“I asked him how he was, he told me he was not feeling well. They took him to the hospital to see what he had. I can’t say more.”, Barça interim coach Sergi Barjuan said in a post-match press conference, without giving further details.
During the meeting, Barça may have lost another player to injury: defender Gerard Pique was replaced by Frenchman Clément Lenglet in the 70th minute, and left the pitch limping and grimacing.
The central defender suffered a “work overload on the calf of the right leg”, Barça indicated on his social networks, specifying that Pique will pass more in-depth examinations.
