Singer and host Serge Laprade has died, his advertising agency confirmed Thursday morning. He took his last breath Wednesday evening in a palliative care home in Laprairie. He was 83 years old.
Discovered in the 1960s thanks to popular songs, including Capri is over, Serge Laprade recorded numerous albums, while pursuing a career as a radio and television presenter.
On television, he notably hosted the shows The good times, The line work And Garden Party, as well as cerebral palsy telethons.
Serge Laprade leaves to mourn his partner Daniel Arsenault, with whom he married last fall after more than 50 years together, as well as nephews and nieces.
