Serge Gainsbourg always accompanied by a briefcase full of tickets: Jacky lets go

If most fans of Jacky Jakubowicz know the latter thanks to Dorothée Club

, the host has nevertheless served as a press officer for a long time. And not for just any star. Indeed, Serge Gainsbourg was one of the personalities he looked after for many years. In total, Jacky spent ten years alongside the artist who died on March 2, 1991. With all this time spent alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg’s father, the journalist has many memories to tell.

He also revealed some anecdotes about Serge Gainsbourg

during his passage in Bonus Track in April 2022. During his visit, he assured that his ex-client was “someone very precise, contrary to appearances”. Indeed, according to Jacky, the artist has never been “messy” and was even “very punctual”. “Before an interview, he wanted to know the name of the journalist and read the article before it was published. I really learned my job as a press officer from him”he notably remembered.

Their relationship was special, and a specific element brought them together: “He told me afterwards that we are both Ashkenazi Jews and he liked my look […] I had jackets of all colors, ties with the Eiffel Tower on them, and then he saw that I liked rock”. Beautiful memories for Dorothée’s ex-partner. But several years after the disappearance of Serge Gainsbourg, Jackie still reveals new anecdotes. The proof, during
his passage on South Radio

this Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

Gilles Ganzmann in fact reminded his guest that the latter “told an incredible story” sometime ago. “He always had 10,000 francs on him. He had a small briefcase, right?”asked the journalist before his guest replied: “Yes yes! He always had money on him, cash in a briefcase. He was always afraid. There was always the free zone and the occupied zone. So if he had to flee, he had money on him”. Surprised, Gilles Ganzmann then asked Jacky for confirmation that Serge Gainsbourg “lived in this anguish”. To which the journalist responded in the affirmative.
