Seniors from an Ehpad have taken off. On board a plane, they were able to fly over Alsace for thirty minutes.

The beautiful story of Monday June 27 is this incredible adventure experienced by some residents of a retirement home in Alsace. They wanted to fly… It’s done! For Alfred, 93, for whom it was a great first. Before flying, he received some basic tips and some help getting on board. He then spent thirty minutes in the air flying over Alsace. At an altitude of 900 m, he expressed his emotion in songs.

This premiere was a resounding success. Neither the speed nor the altitude impressed him. Offering a trip through the air to these seniors aged 87 to 96 is the idea of the director of their Ehpad, himself a pilot. “We have the right to be an elder today and still have dreams and stars in our eyes”, he explains. Everyone was delighted with the experience. There is therefore no age to go familiar with the sky and rub shoulders with the clouds.
