Senegal denounced, Sunday March 27, by the voice of its ambassador in France, remarks “of a primary racism” pronounced by the far-right French presidential candidate Eric Zemmour against the Senegalese, treated as delinquents to be deported. During the show “Faced with the news” on Cnews on May 13, 2021, Eric Zemmour said that “all crack dealers are Senegalese” in Paris. Moreover, during a hectic media visit to Porte de la Villette in Paris among drug addicts and migrants on Friday March 25, Eric Zemmour declared that “most” of foreign offenders are Senegalese and that they will be “sent back to their homes in Senegal” if elected president.
“These remarks, of undeniable primary racism, are an insulting stigma, seriously undermining the honor of an entire Senegalese community”
El Hadji Magatte Seye, Ambassador of Senegal to FranceCommunicated
The Senegalese Embassy in France strongly condemns the disrespectful and racist remarks of Mr. Zemmour
These remarks against our compatriots in France are extremely shocking. The Senegalese diaspora represents their country with dignity all over the world.#communicated pic.twitter.com/B4oQ3i3HxV

According to El Hadji Magatte Seye, the remarks of the far-right candidate come under a “obsessive relentlessness” against Senegal. He condemns what he calls‘”irresponsible attacks against an exemplary community for its integration and respect for the laws of the French Republic”. The diplomat adds, without further details, that his country “will take the appropriate actions” so that the candidate “reply degrading remarks” which he held.
