“Sending mirages to Ukraine? We didn’t even keep the previous promises”, tackles Manon Aubry head of the Insoumis list

Three days before the vote in France, the European election campaign has entered its final sprint. It was marked by the intervention of Emmanuel Macron on Thursday June 6 and the announcement of the sending of 2,000 mirages to Ukraine and the training of 4,500 Ukrainian soldiers by France. Manon Aubry does not fail to point out that “on the method, we still have the President of the Republic who appears on all the TVs 24 hours before the end of a campaign for the European elections. (…) I can’t help but think that there are electoral purposes in this strategy.”

She adds : “The President of the Republic and France start by delivering what they promised. They promised weapons, armored vehicles, they promised anti-aircraft defense systems and they were not all delivered.” For the MEP, to be effective, France must stop financing the war directly in Ukraine and by directly financing Russia by importing gas. She also insists that France should take diplomatic initiatives. “Mirages? How long will it take? We didn’t even keep previous promises”asks Manon Aubry.
