(Ottawa) The Ottawa Senators have added two more players to the list of skaters required to undergo NHL COVID-19 health protocols, hours before their scheduled duel against the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.
The team announced that Alex Formenton and goaltender Matt Murray are now subject to protocols, bringing the number of Senators named on the list to eight.
Murray and Formenton both played in the 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins on Tuesday.
The Senators have recalled forward Andrew Agozzino as well as defensemen Dillon Heatherington and Lassi Thomson from their Belleville school club.
The team had canceled their training on Wednesday as a precaution after defenseman Josh Brown was put through health protocols
Forwards Austin Watson, Dylan Gambrell and Connor Brown, like defenders Victor Mete and Nick Holden are on the COVID-19 list. Associate coach Jack Capuano too.
