Ottawa Senators fans are visibly encouraged by the many additions to their roster this offseason, as the team from the Canadian capital reportedly recorded a significant increase in season ticket sales for the 2022-2023 campaign.

This was revealed by the president of the “Sens”, Anthony LeBlanc, during an interview with the Sportsnet network. The Senators organization has yet to release official numbers, but is expected to do so in the coming days.
The Senators also didn’t release numbers last season, but it’s believed there were fewer than 5,000 season ticket holders, which would be the team’s lowest total. The Ontario club also maintained the lowest average attendance per game in 2021-2022, with just over 9,000 spectators passing through the doors of the Canadian Tire Center during each game.
“I can say that the number of season ticket holders is the highest we’ve seen in a few years,” LeBlanc said. We have recorded a significant rise which started around when Pierre [Dorion, le directeur général] made some trades.
During the offseason, Dorion acquired forward Alex DeBrincat from the Chicago Blackhawks and goaltender Cam Talbot from the Minnesota Wild, among others, through trades. He also agreed on the terms of a three-year contract with Claude Giroux.
The “Sens” will thus try to return to the playoffs, they who have not tasted this pleasure since the 2016-2017 campaign.
