“Our goal is to leave schools as open as possible,” said the Prime Minister on Monday, on the set of 20 heures de France 2.
Prime Minister Jean Castex admitted that the health protocol implemented in schools was a “Gaz factory”, leading to test children constantly. “I have heard the concerns expressed by parents, teachers, school principals”, he said on the set of 20 hours of France 2, Monday January 10. “We are going to make a number of simplifications: our goal is to keep schools as open as possible”, he added. here are the “three simplification and flexibility measures” announced by the head of government.
Parents will no longer have to pick up their child immediately if it is in contact.
First, “when a positive case is tested in a class (…) we ask all the other children to test themselves. In these cases, we do not immediately ask the parents to come and pick up their child, we will wait for the school trip”, explained the head of government.
Three self-tests (free) will be required
Then, if the child is in contact, he will no longer need to do three tests, including a PCR or antigen in the pharmacy. “He will be able to use three self-tests”, said the Prime Minister. “If your child is a contact case, a certificate will be issued to you by the school. It will give access to 3 free self-tests in pharmacies “, Matignon specifies to France Télévisions.
A single certificate will suffice
Finally, parents will no longer be required to produce a certificate for each negative test. “We will ask for a certificate once and for all, to simplify the life of parents and teachers“, he announced. This unique certificate will be available from Friday, adds Matignon.
