Seine-Maritime on yellow vigilance, stones fall from the Rouen courthouse

The gusts of wind again exceeded 100 km / h this Monday evening in Seine-Maritime: between 10 p.m. and midnight, in the wake of storm Franklin, peaks at 107 km/h were recorded in Dieppe, 111 km/h at Cap de la Hève and 100 km/h in Rouen.

In the city center of Rouen, a little before 11 p.m., a stone cob fell from the roof of the courthouse and “other pieces would potentially be weakened”, according to firefighters. Part of the Jewish Street was closed that night.

Seine-Maritime returns to yellow vigilance

During the night, the vigilance of Météo France is changed from “orange” to “yellow” for all the departments affected by the storm. However, recalls the prefecture of Seine-Maritime: “Météo France predicts the development of a rainy front likely to be accompanied by strong gusts of wind that can exceed 100 km / h, including inland. The wind will continue until Monday at the end of the day.”

This situation has consequences for the SNCF : part of the traffic was suspended this Sunday, and a reconnaissance train must circulate this Monday morning in order to ensure that the railway tracks are passable.
