Under the sign of Provençal conviviality
For 39 years already, the last three Sundays of October, the population lives to the rhythm of the chestnut.
Terroir festival, everything is synonymous with craftsmanship, authenticity, know-how, love of the profession, nature and the riches it offers to people.. This passion for the chestnut tree and its fruit, the castanéïculteurs of Collobrières have it and want to pass it on.
Street music and entertainment punctuate the party and highlight the ambient good mood. Every year, thousands of visitors crowd around the exhibitors, admiring, smelling, touching, tasting and listening, especially to those who “know” how important the chestnut is for the life of the village and for the balance of the Massif des Maures. Everything is done to show this beauty of autumn: exhibitions, tastings, walks and promotion.
