See you at the Fair?

The inhabitants of Dijon await the International and Gastronomic Fair each year, impatiently. It is the 1st economic and popular event in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, created in 1921, with the aim of promoting local gastronomy and regional wines. The success is there every year, with more than 100,000 visitors who meet at the Palais des Congrès.

More than 9,000 visitors attended the Fair, from the 1st day

Nadine Bazin, Director of Dijon congrexpo, tells us about her enthusiasm for this 92nd edition of the International Fair. A year of teamwork is necessary for the smooth running of the ten days of the fair.

The Fair wakes up every morning, around 7 a.m.

Joël and José, from the Fair’s technical team, get busy from 7:30 a.m. among the hundreds of stands, to prepare to welcome the public at 10 a.m. Tables, chairs, trolleys and other electric cables twirl very early in the bays of the Palace. Jean-Robert, representative of the local union of artisans-bakers, prepares breads and pastries for exhibitors with his team, from 4am. Finally, Daniel, President of the Amicale des chefs de Côte d’Or, is setting up his large stand at the entrance to the Fair to welcome the chefs, all of whom are invited to present their cuisine and their original dishes.
