The security work has started, it is still necessary purge the corridor, knock down threatening trees and set up safety nets. “The site must be quickly secured to allow road clearance work to be carried out under the best possible safety conditions for the personnel involved.“, insists Jean-Marc Peillex, the mayor of Saint-Gervais.
After the work to purge the corridor, the felling of trees threatening to collapse, and the installation of a protective net, material evacuation work deposited on the road are scheduled from January 13. If the schedule is met, the access road could reopen on January 22.
