It’s been nearly six years since Secret Story hasn’t been broadcast on TF1. However, this iconic reality show won over viewers during its first broadcast in 2007. But above all, the program revealed emblematic candidates such as Amélie Neten, Ayem Nour, Émilie Nef Naf, Coralie Porrovecchio, Mélanie Da Cruz, Anais Camizuli or again Bastos… to name but a few.
Presented by Benjamin Castaldi then by Christophe Beaugrand, the concept had charmed viewers with its rules of the game based on strategy. The goal ? Protecting his secret at all costs even if it means breaking the bonds of love and friendship. Over the years, Secret Story has unfortunately lost its audience, which finally prompted the channel to stop its production and broadcast.
Until 2023? This Wednesday, February 1, 2023, the show’s official Twitter account posted a funny message, suggesting that the reality show was going to make a comeback. “Here the Voice, to all internet users: beware of appearances… That’s all for now!” can we read. As a reminder, Christophe Beaugrand had made it clear that the show was not completely over during an interview given to Télépro magazine. “I think there is a chance that the show will come back with a different form. The public is so attached to this program. I would be surprised if the show does not come back” declared Benjamin Castaldi’s replacement in 2022.

“We are working on the return of Secret Story”
If the tweet of the show is not yet clear, many clues prove that it would indeed be the great return of Secret Story. In December 2022, the producer of the show, Jean-Louis Blot had declared in an interview given to Puremédias: “We are working on the return of Secret Story, Loft Story or the arrival of Big Brother” he had announced before continuing : “We are convinced that this is what corresponds to the use of the consumption of television programs today. These programs make it possible to create noise on social networks and can be consumed on Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter, Facebook or Twitch”.
