(Laval) The Laval firm Bausch Health announced Tuesday a loss of 145 million US in the second quarter, after losing 595 million US at the same time last year.

The company said that works out to a loss of 40 cents per share, compared to a loss of $1.66 per share a year ago.
Its quarterly revenue slipped from $2.1 billion last year to $1.97 billion this year.
Bausch Health posted adjusted net profit of US$201 million, up from US$352 million last year.
Bausch Health now anticipates revenue for fiscal year 2022 of between $8.05 billion and $8.22 billion, after previously predicting revenue of between $8.25 billion and $8.40 billion.
Bausch Health reiterated its intention to spin off its Bausch + Lomb eye health business, which generated revenue of $941 million in the second quarter, compared to $934 million in 2021.
