Second fire two days in Laval: three houses ravaged by flames

Three residences were ravaged by a second fire in 48 hours in the night from Saturday to Sunday in Laval.

A total of six Laval residents had to evacuate their homes, confirmed Claude Lussier, chief of operations for Laval firefighters.

The blaze started around 2 a.m. in a first house on rue Dansereau, in the Chomedey district. The radiation caused the fire to spread to the other two homes.

As of Sunday morning, firefighters are still at work. A third alarm (out of a possible five) went off due to the severity of the fire.
