For many, the Covid-19 pandemic was an opportunity to turn the table around, to turn the page to start a new one. This is the case with Sébastien Quet. This inhabitant of La Peyrade decided to drop everything in July 2020, a few months after the first confinement. He had been running a “food truck” around the Thau basin for seven years. He also took care of weddings in the Gard. At 39, he is now an office automation salesperson.
The decision had been trotting in the head of this father for several months. “I was taking a long time to decide and the crisis helped me to make a choice”, says Sébastien. At the end of the first confinement in May 2020, this business manager saw orders for his “food truck” drastically decrease. “I never imagined going back to the private sector”, says Sébastien. Even if he already had a sales background, he found a job very quickly.
In three weeks I found a job – Sébastien
More than a year after his retraining, he absolutely does not regret his choice. “I spend more time with my little girl especially on weekends. In addition, changing jobs has helped me to buy a house”, details the new office automation sales representative. But the stoves are never far away: “I cook every evening to try to reproduce the recipes of chef Philippe Etchebest. “
France Bleu is supporting this special day on reconversion.
