Sébastien Thoen in a relationship for 30 years: “It took me a long time to accept becoming a dad”

He’s been one of the faces of television humor for years and he chose to move into literature to continue cracking jokes. With sorrow of humor, Sébastien Thoen offers a first book in which he looks back on his journey. That of a man who has known many adventures and in particular a group of comedians with Action discrete alongside his sidekick Julien Cazarre. Long on Canal +, where he hosted the show Hard Journal for some time, he was fired with loss and a crash by the group belonging to Vincent Bolloré after a skit mocking the show Time for the Prosmoderated by Pascal Praud.

Sébastien Thoen has nevertheless been able to bounce back and last year he joined Laurent Ruquier’s band on the radio and today he is one of the new faces of Big heads on RTL. “I’m having a blast because we’re around a table, we talk nonsense, a bit like we were with the family in front of a Trivial Pursuit. People listen to us to have fun and they know that what we’re saying is are just jokes, nothing important”says the 45-year-old troublemaker in an interview with Paris here. Well integrated into the band of the show, he is full of praise for his new boss. “It’s a great professional meeting, Laurent is a motivating, generous, nice guy, quite simply”he summarizes.

When I see my son today, I tell myself that he is the most beautiful and the nicest in the daycare…

Rather discreet about his private life, Sébastien Thoen is married to Laury, his wife, with whom he had a little boy, Lucien. “She has nothing to do with the media world. She is a fashion designer, behind the Suzie Winkle brand. We have no secrets from each other, we have known each other for almost thirty years…”reveals the actor, before mentioning his son, aged 2 and a half. “I took a long time to agree to become a dad because it seemed crazy to me to give life, he admits. Having my Discreet Action group on file S, being a comedian without much talent didn’t scare me, on the other hand, giving life worried me for a long time… When I see my son today, I tell myself that it’s the nicest and nicest part of the daycare…”.
