Sébastien Haller’s Elephants dream of a coronation at home… Follow the CAN 2024 final

The host country, Ivory Coast, challenges Nigeria on Sunday (9 p.m.) in the final of the African Cup of Nations.

Ivory Coast is just one success away from realizing its dream: winning CAN 2024 at home. On the verge of elimination in the first round following a scathing defeat against Equatorial Guinea (4-0), the Elephants eliminated the Democratic Republic of Congo in the semi-finals (1-0). To win a third African Cup of Nations in their history, after 1992 and 2015, they must dominate Nigeria in the final, Sunday February 11 (9 p.m.), at the Alassane Ouattara stadium in Abidjan.

Still undefeated in the competition, the teammates of striker Victor Osimhen hope to bring Nigeria a fourth continental coronation after those in 1980, 1994 and 2013. In the semi-finals, they eliminated South Africa at the resulting from the penalty shootout (1-1 in regulation time).
