Good news. Ivorian international striker Sébastien Haller gave an interview to the ESPN website on Tuesday August 30.“I would like to tell everyone that I feel good” he said for his first words in the media after his testicular cancer operation at the end of July.

“From the first day when I returned home, I started working, I was in the gym, I already have the same level as I had a few months ago. It’s a good sign”said the 28-year-old Franco-Ivorian player, who played until the end of the previous season with Ajax Amsterdam.

“My first objective is to get back on the pitch, play in front of the yellow wall, and score my first goal in front of them. It will be an emotional moment. I will be back on the pitch soon”, he concluded, all smiles. To make up for his absence, the Ruhr club recruited Frenchman Anthony Modeste (34) for a season in August.

Passed by Frankfurt, West Ham and Ajax, Haller was recruited by Dortmund to compensate for the departure of the Norwegian center forward Erling Haaland who left for Manchester City. But during Borussia’s training camp in mid-July, club doctors had diagnosed testicular cancer. At the end of July, Borussia Dortmund had spoken of a long absence of several months.
