(Toronto) Jaden Schwartz will miss six weeks with an upper body injury, the Seattle Kraken announced Friday.
The striker was injured Tuesday evening in Chicago. Schwartz made only one appearance on the ice in the third period, not returning to the game afterward. He was absent Thursday in Toronto.
Author of eight goals, Schwartz is second among the Kraken’s scorers this season. He has 15 points in 23 games.
Schwartz is playing a third season with Seattle, after 10 campaigns with the St. Louis Blues.
The Kraken are winless in three games heading into meetings in Ottawa and Montreal on Saturday and Monday.
