Season 2024-2025 | The Centaur unveils its program

Michel Tremblay and Évelyne de la Chenelière in the language of Shakespeare. Chekhov revisited. No doubt: the Centaur Theater is offering a 2024-2025 season full of big names.


Built around the theme of “coming home”, the program gives pride of place to local stories. The season opens with Sakura – After Chekhovan adaptation of The cherry orchard signed by Montrealer Harry Standjofski and camped in Quebec. Eda Holmes will direct. Will follow Three Women of Swatowtext by Torontonian Chloé Hung, who paints the portrait of three generations of women from the Chinese diaspora.

At the beginning of 2025, Strawberries in January – A musical Fantasy (translation of the piece Strawberries in January by Évelyne de la Chenelière) will be directed by Frédéric Bélanger.

The season in the main room will end with a classic by Michel Tremblay, For the Pleasure of Seeing Her Again (Once again if you allow it in French). Ellen David and Emmanuel Schwartz will share the stage in this production by Alice Ronfard.
