The second season of “Parliament”, which offers a dive into the heart of the European institutions, should not disappoint fans of the series. It contains all the tasty ingredients that have made its success.

The bet was rather daring. Hold in suspense while talking about Europe. Series Parliament returns with the same ingredients: a totally out of the ordinary deputy, and a heroic parliamentary assistant, Samy, who is trying to make a name for himself in the meanders of the institutions.I think what makes it work is that we have characters who are sometimes caricatural, parodic, but we don’t ridicule the institution, because the issues and the situations are believable”explains actor Xavier Lacaille, who plays Samy.

Season 2 was filmed in the summer at the Parliament of Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin). It focuses on the art of compromise, so dear to the European Union. With some caricatures and surreal scenes. It is for example by playing “Who is it?”, a game of elimination of characters for children, that the new president of the Parliament is designated. An inspiration from Brussels. Maxime Calligaro is one of the co-screenwriters, he has also worked for years in institutions. Season 3 is already being written.
