Searches were carried out on Monday, November 27, as part of an investigation by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office concerning four relatives of Laurent Wauquiez, the Radio France investigation unit learned this Monday. This also follows the investigation by the Radio France investigation unit published in October. She revealed four jobs are suspected of being ghost jobs at the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regional council.

These four people (two women and two men), paid by the region, are suspected of not working on regional issues but for the national career of Laurent Wauquiez. These people are based in Paris, at the headquarters of the Régions de France association for one, and in the Parisian premises of the region for the other three. These two places were searched this Monday, the unit learned from a judicial source. The PNF had already opened an investigation in September 2020 into office colleagues in the region. This investigation was extended to the four jobs described in the investigation by the Radio France investigation unit.
