This is the second Habs staff member in as many days to find work elsewhere in the NHL. Richardson, formerly an assistant behind the Montreal bench, became the head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday.
Burke was until Tuesday coach and director of goalkeepers in Montreal. He will hold the same position in Nevada.
He had been with CH in 2016 as a professional recruiter, and had also worked as a consultant for goalkeepers.
The former goaltender, who played 18 seasons in the NHL, also held various positions within the staff of the Arizona Coyotes before joining the Canadiens.
This will be his 15e season as a staff member of Bettman Tour teams.
Burke has also worked as general manager of Canadian national teams since 2016.
