Leblanc started the day Sunday one shot away from the lead at 14 under. She finished with the same cumulative score following a round of 72.

The 33-year-old golfer saw her chances of winning her first LPGA Tour go up in smoke when she double-bogeyed the 12e hole, then a bogey at 13e. Leblanc redeemed herself with birdies at 15e and 18e holes to ensure a third top 10 this season and a fourth in career.

For his part, Furue soared in the rankings like a rocket. She was bogey-free and notably had six consecutive birdies from the sixth hole.

A rookie on the LPGA Tour, Furue finished the tournament at under-21.

New Zealander Lydia Ko and Frenchwoman Céline Boutier started the day tied for the lead at 15 under.

Boutier played a round of 69 to finish alone in second place, three strokes behind Furue. Ko, who finished tied for third last week at the Evian Championship, settled for a score of 71 to finish the tournament tied for fifth with American Alison Lee (66) at 16 under.

South Korean Hyo Joo Kim (66) and American Cheyenne Knight (67) tied for third at 17 under.
